1. Acceptance of Official Rules. By entering the Isle of Harris Scottish Experience (“Sweepstakes”), you (the “Entrant”) hereby accept and agree to these official rules (the “Official Rules”) of the Sweepstakes. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification.

2. Sponsor. The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Essence of Harris Inc, (the “Sponsor”).

3. How to Enter. There are two (2) ways to enter the Sweepstakes.:

(i) Purchase. To enter with a purchase, during the Sweepstakes Period (defined below):

a.Place an Essence of Harris order of $1,500 to $2,999 with Harper Group to automatically receive one (1) entry.

b.Place an Essence of Harris order of $3,000 or more with Harper Group to automatically receive two (2) entries.

Any purchases that are refunded such that the total purchase amount is less than $1,500 after purchase will result in the applicable entry being voided.

(ii) Mail-In Entry. To enter without purchase, send up to two (2) postcards to Sponsor at 104 Sayton Road, Fox Lake, IL 60020 during the Sweepstakes Period. You must include your first and last name, mailing address, e-mail address, and state that you are entering the Sweepstakes. The entry must be postmarked by February 7, 2023.

Limit two (2) entries per person, regardless of method of entry. No automated entry devices and/or programs permitted. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of the Sponsor and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, stolen, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, technically corrupted or garbled entries, which will be disqualified, or for problems of any kind whether mechanical, human or electronic. Only fully completed entry forms are eligible. Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.

4. Start/End Dates. Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 1, 2023 and ends at 11:59 PM ET on February 7, 2023 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

5. Eligibility. Participation open only to legal residents of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old as of date of entry and be in possession of a valid passport expiring no earlier than April 1, 2024. Void outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Employees, officers and directors of the Released Entities, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, manufacturers or distributors of sweepstakes materials and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible to enter. Sweepstakes may only be entered in or from the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrant agrees fully and unconditionally to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

6. Random Drawing/Odds. Winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received on or about Monday, February 20th. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the drawing. Drawing will be conducted by a representative of Sponsor. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

7. Prize. One (1) prize will be awarded, consisting of one (1) trip for two (2) people (winner and one (1) guest) to the Isle of Harris, Scotland. Prize package includes the following:

Round-trip coach air transportation for winner and one (1) guest from a major airport, as determined by Sponsor, near the winner's home within U.S. to Scotland (estimated value = $2,000)

A private island cottage for seven (7) days/six (6) nights (estimated value = $800)

Car rental accommodations from Stornoway airport for the duration of the stay (estimated value = $400)

Visits to Essence Candle Factory and Loomshed Brewery (estimated value = $120).

The Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the entire prize package is $3,320. Actual prize value depends on airfare fluctuations, point of departure, ,and dates of travel. Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Taxes, meals, gratuities, travel upgrades, or any other expenses not specifically listed herein are the responsibility of winner. Travel must be taken between October 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024 and must be reserved by May 1, 2023, or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner. Travel and accommodations subject to availability and must be roundtrip; certain restrictions and blackout dates may apply. Winner and guest must travel on the same itinerary and guest must sign travel release prior to ticketing. Guest must be of legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (and at least 18), unless the child or legal ward of winner, and must complete, and return a publicity and liability release within five (5) days of date of issuance. If guest is the child or legal ward of the winner, winner must execute and return all required documents on behalf of such child or legal ward. The Released Entities (defined below) are not liable for delays, cancellation or unforeseen events related to the flights and travel, including but not limited to loss or damage to baggage. Winner and guest must possess valid travel documents, including, without limitation, a valid passport and any necessary visas in order to travel. Passports must not expire within six (6) months following the dates of travel (as determined by Released Entities in their sole discretion) in order to be considered valid. will be solely responsible for obtaining valid identification relating to acceptance and use of the travel prize packages. The Released Entities will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates.

Released Entities (defined below) are not responsible if the prize listed above or any part thereof is delayed, postponed or cancelled due to events outside of its reasonable control, including due to COVID 19 restrictions. If in the event the prize or any part cannot be awarded, including as a result of epidemics, pandemics or other public health concerns, including COVID 19, the prize may be awarded at another time or as another trip or as another prize, such as cash prize, all as determined by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion. If potential winner chooses not to accept the prize or the substitute prize (as applicable), the prize or the substitute prize may be awarded to an alternate winner (time-permitting). As a condition of accepting the prize or the substitute prize (as applicable), potential winner and guest may be required to agree to comply with Sponsor’s and/or any prize supplier’s COVID safety protocols, including, but not limited to, testing, mask wearing, social distancing and quarantining, all as applicable and as determined by Sponsor and/or prize supplier, or the prize (or substitute prize, as applicable) will be forfeited. Potential winner and guest agree to execute any documents provided by Sponsor to confirm such compliance.

8. Notification. Winner(s) will be notified by email and will be required to sign and return, where legal, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within five (5) days of prize notification. If winner cannot be contacted within five (5) calendar days of first notification attempt, if prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if winner rejects his/her prize or in the event of noncompliance with these Sweepstakes rules and requirements, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected from all remaining eligible entries. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. Limit one prize per person or household.

9. Conditions. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). Participation in Sweepstakes and acceptance of prize constitutes winner’s permission for Sponsor to use his/her name, address (city and state), likeness, photograph, picture, portrait, voice, biographical information and/or any statements made by winner regarding the Sweepstakes or Sponsor for advertising and promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By participating, entrants, winner and winner’s guest agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Harper Group, LLC, and their respective affiliates, partners and promotion and advertising agencies and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors (collectively, the “Released Entities”), from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in Sweepstakes, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Sponsor is not responsible if Sweepstakes cannot take place or if the prize cannot be awarded due to travel cancellations, delays or interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes at any time for any reason, including but not limited to any reason that affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes ever be terminated prior to awarding of the prize(s), Sponsor will announce an alternate means of awarding the prize(s) on its website. Entrants who do not comply with these official rules, or attempt to interfere with this Sweepstakes in any way shall be disqualified. There is no purchase or sales presentation required to participate. A purchase does not increase odds of winning.

10. Additional Terms. In case of dispute as to the identity of any entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that such winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry. Any other attempted form of entry is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means of entry are permitted. The Released Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one’s ability to enter the Sweepstakes, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend this Sweepstakes should (in its sole discretion) virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In such case, Sponsor may select the winner(s) from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or web site. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

11. Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer of Warranties. IN NO EVENT WILL THE RELEASED ENTITIES BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES, INCLUDING DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, THIS SWEEPSTAKES AND ALL PRIZES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS FOR ANY RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS REGARDING THESE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction. Except where prohibited, all issues and questions concerning these Official Rules and the interpretation of its terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflicts of laws rules. The parties irrevocably submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in or closest to the Wake County in the State of North Carolina. The parties agree not to raise the defense of forum non conveniens.

13. Use of Data. The Released Entities will be collecting personal data about entrants online, in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Please review the Sponsor’s privacy policy at https://essenceofharris.co.uk/policies/privacy-policy and Harper Group LLC's privacy policy at https://www.harpergroup.com/t-privacy/. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants hereby agree to collection and usage of their personal information by the Released Entities and acknowledge that they have read and accepted these privacy policies.

14. List of Winners/Winner’s Name. To obtain a list of winners/the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by March 14, 2023, to Essence of Harris, Attn: Kayleigh Galvin, 104 Sayton Road, Fox Lake, IL 60020.
